Why do I feel tired all the time?

The answers can be pointed out through many areas and studies, which are very helpful. I like to pinpoint these and call them Stress Energy Leaks. Here are the dominant areas you are losing energy from: Life and Work Stress Nutrition, Digestion, Elimination Exercise and Training stress Sleep Hydration Life and Work stress: Getting right to the point, if you have a shitty job and that job has you stressed out so much that you just think about your job, complain about your job and even dream about your crappy job. This job can be so irritating that it even effects your family and life. This is causing HUGE Stress Energy Leaks! Options: While still working at your crappy job, find a new job. When you find a new job, hopefully one that you love, quit the crappy job. If you cannot quit your job, you must find a way to improve your current job. Unfortunately, the effort to find improvements, in most cases fail, so you just need to quit your dam job! You only live once and the stress from the crappy job is not a good trade off, stealing years off your life! Nutrition & Digestion: Nutrition aka what you eat, can heel your body and also hinder your body. If your nutrition resembles a packaged food isle in the grocery store, those foods are heavily processed with no nutrients and are creating MORE Stress Stealing Energy Leaks. Those stress leaks come in the form of poor assimilation, digestion and elimination. If you have poor digestion, now think about this, your digestive tract is using a ton of energy to, digest, assimilate and eliminate that food, ADDING more stress to the body thus, leaking more energy that you have to give. OPTIONS: Quit eating like you are still in high school Slowly start to take out one processed food and swapping that out with a high quality nutrient dense food. Make a food energy journal. After you eat, take notes on your energy and mental focus. Exercise and Training stress: We are all guilty of this, going hard and then having to stay home! Working out is a stressor as you are breaking down muscle tissue and taxing multiple cardiovascular energy systems. We must fuel, refuel and regenerate from workouts, but more importantly we must be ready to do the right workout for you at that time! Doing boat loads of cardio and crazy workout classes, then going home and smashing the entire pantry of cookies are HUGE stressors and energy leaks. Talk about “Putting the cart before the horse”! If you think you can out train or out exercise Stress Energy Leaks, Poor Nutrition and poor Lifestyle habits, you are sadly mistaken! OPTIONS: Start with Life and Work Stress. Start the food swapping and food sensitivity journaling. Get off the dam cell phones and ipads and start adding in daily walking and some mobility work. Get that Sleep! You cannot regenerate without high quality z’s Sleep: Hey it is FREE and you can get started today……” Get your Sleep Here”! Sleep is so underrated and yet never used enough as the population seem to gravitate for some quick fix gimmick or pill to help out. NO sleep creates More Stress Energy Leaks! You regenerate from your day’s events through sleep. OPTIONS: Create a new sleep plan by writing down your old plan, then taking out poor habits and adding in a new habit like, not falling asleep to your phone or ipad, swapping those out for a book. Going to bed 1 hour earlier Actually look forward to going to be earlier, knowing that you are going to wake up with vitality!!!

Hydration: Again like sleep, water is right there for you and it can make you feel great! Many of us are over caffeinated and under hydrated. An easy fix to feel better in 60 minutes, drink water! Being hydrated decreases stress and helps the body run optimally. The body also needs water to use Carbo”hydrates”. So, you like carbs right! Carbs hold energy that can give us energy, those carbs need hydration to be released and used! OPTIONS: Start your day with 8oz water Reduce your caffeine and increase your h2o, track this and make small improvements weekly. Spice up your water with lemon and lime. You can even use decaffeinated tea bags.

Stress can be a nasty thing that can destroy your energy and life! The advantage, we can start winning again if we take the steps needed to decrease stress and increase our energy!
